Special Session Market Opportunities
A special session focused on “MARKET OPPORTUNITIES” will open the workshop on Wednesday 4th of July morning before the official kick-off of the workshop. This session will provide an unique overview on the technologies of optical fibre sensors from the research levels to the commercial applications.
Seven selected invited speakers will share with the audience their knowledge and experience on the market opportunities offered by fibre optical sensors.

All the regular papers (134 papers) will be presented and discussed in four Poster Sessions:

Session I Physical and Mechanical Sensors
Session II Chemical, Environmental, Biomechanical, and Medical Sensors
Session III Electromagnetic, Interferometric, Polarimetric, New Concepts, and Devices for Sensors
Session IV Distributed, Multiplexing, System Applications, and Field Trials

Each session is going to develop according to the following format:

  1. Invited Talks: two invited talks for each section from well selected invited speakers.
  2. Posters Presentation: the regular papers of the session are going to be introduced by a well known researcher that acts as session Chairman.
  3. Coffee Break and Poster View
  4. Posters View: individual discussion in regular poster session.
  5. Groups Discussion: the papers will be discussed in Group-Discussions chaired and moderated by well known researchers. All attendees will be distributed in Groups.
  6. Session Remarks: conclusions from each discussion Group will be presented and discussed in a plenary session.
